Public Authority of Marin
The In-Home Supportive Services Public Authority of Marin is a public agency supported with taxpayer money. We serve low-income elderly and disabled residents of Marin who require home-care services to remain safely in their homes and participate in community life to the degree they choose.
Our goal is to improve the lives of In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) consumers by service delivery through skilled providers who can help them attain optimal functioning and independence.
We pursue our goal by recruiting and training a high-quality workforce whose work is valued and respected for the important social service being performed.

The In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) Public Authority of Marin invites you to consider applying to become a Governing Board member. The County of Marin Adult Social Services administers the IHSS program. The Public Authority works in collaboration with the County to serve IHSS consumers, low-income seniors and people with disabilities, who require in-home services to remain safely in their homes with dignity and independence.
