Registry

The In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) Public Authority of Marin is a public agency which was created to serve people who need some type of help with the activities of daily living to remain in their home (consumers or recipients), have met eligibility requirements and are the beneficiaries of the IHSS program. The Public Authority Registry works with consumers to find them the best person (providers or caregivers) to provide their in-home care.

The Registry staff which is comprised of two highly skilled Registry Specialists help consumers with a variety of services including:

1. Recruiting, screening and training providers
2. Sending them lists of qualified providers
3. Providing ongoing support and information to    help them get the best care possible in their    home

Registry Specialists help providers to get work and improve their skills by:

1. Identifying their preferred type of work     assignment
2. Sending their name to consumers looking     for providers
3. Proving ongoing training, support and     information to help them improve their skills     as a provider and working relationship with     their clients.
