The In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) Public Authority of Marin offers a variety of free classroom, one-on-one and video training to IHSS consumers and providers. Most consumer training is conducted on the phone or in-person at the consumer’s home. Providers can choose between Public Authority hosted classroom and video training, American Red Cross training and West Marin Regional Occupational Program training click here for schedule.
Advance registration is requested at least 24 hours in advance. Call 415-499-1024 or send an email to info@pa-marin.org. Unless otherwise noted on the training schedule, all classes are held at the Public Authority of Marin at 10 N. San Pedro Road, Suite 1018, San Rafael.
Providers
By taking one or more of these classes, providers can improve job skills and become more marketable to prospective employers! With each successful class completion, the Public Authority will send a Certificate of Completion suitable for framing and add the class to your profile of qualifications.

Classroom Training
In addition to provider orientation, providers can take classroom and video training. Providers can take advantage of classroom training provided by a variety of organizations including the Public Authority, the Union, Red Cross, and West Marin Senior Services and Regional Occupation Program.
